Laura Pineda

Research Assistant at the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology of Diseases (CBCMe) of INDICASAT AIP. I am responsible for the maintenance of cultures of Plasmodium falciparum and Leishmania donovani, in order to keep them in synchronized and in optimal conditions to screen biological samples against these species of parasites and thus guide the detection of bioactive active molecules or compounds, which might end up being of benefit to combat such diseases in the future. I manage mostly fluorometric bioassays. I contribute in the creation and maintenance of a database of molecules and their bioactivities. I have ample experience in cell cultures of Vero cells, RAW 264 and J-774 macrophages A.1 lines.

Asistente de Investigación del Centro de Biología Celular y Molecular de Enfermedades (CBCMe) del INDICASAT AIP.  Encargada de los cultivos de Plasmodium falciparum y Leishmania donovani, manteniéndolos sincronizados y en óptimas condiciones para realizar tamizados de muestras biológicas contra dichas especies de parásitos y así guiar la actividad de descubrimiento de moléculas o compuestos bio-activos, que a futuro puedan ser de beneficio para combatir dichas enfermedades. Manejo bioensayos fluorométricos. Contribuyo con la creación y mantenimiento de una base de datos de moléculas y sus bioactividades. Tengo amplia experiencia en cultivos celulares de las líneas Vero, RAW 264 y J-774 A.1.
