Rosa De Jesús, Ph.D.

Head of the Bioterio (Animal Facility) of INDICASAT AIP.  She is in charge of the planning of production of animals of the different rodent lines that are used in the research of the different investigators. In the Bioterio she develops the physiological, genetic and health monitoring programs of the animals that are produced. She organizes the programming of the investigation that is performed in the Bioterio. Rosa guides and plans with the researchers the different protocols to be developed in the Bioterium. She also trains students and prepares researchers for the correct use of the Bioterium, making sure that the good practices established for the proper functioning of the Bioterium are complied with.

Rosa established the P. berghei malaria model in rodents, providing the team with an invaluable tool to deepen our research.
